A pollinator-friendly front garden

The brief for this project was to create a pollinator-friendly front garden with beautiful curb-appeal.

A reclaimed sandstone path was introduced to line the planting borders at the front of the house and provide a means of walking amongst the varied planting. Perennials, structural grasses, evergreen yew balls and year-round bulbs were also incorporated with the primary aim of enticing pollinators. Two wisterias were also planted on either side of the front door and trained up the south-facing wall, tying in beautifully with the soft sandstone of the house.

The wall in front of the house was also lined with lavender to soften it and offer additional food resource for wildlife.

Project stage: completed August 2021
